Fr. John Albert Langois, O.P.
Fr. Langlois is a native of Berlin, NH. His family roots lie in French Canada and he grew up in a bi-lingual home with French as his "mother tongue." He attended Providence College from 1981-85 and it is there that he discovered his Dominican vocation. In 1991, he was ordained a priest and he completed his Licentiate in Sacred Theology at the Dominican House of Studies the following year. He then returned to Providence College where he was a member of the Theology Department from 1992-2002. Between 1995-1998, he pursued doctoral studies in Church History at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. In 2002, he was appointed Student Master (Director of Formation) at the Dominican House of Studies. In addition to directing the formation of future Dominican friars, Fr. Langlois is also a member of the Pontifical Faculty as Assistant Professor of Church History.
